Battle between the two women who beat Megan Anderson? Cindy Dandois says she’s “game right away” for Holly Holm showdown

Featherweight contender Cindy Dandois is impressed with Holly Holm‘s win over Megan Anderson at this past Saturday’s UFC 225 event and says she’s “game right away” for a showdown against her.

Dandois recently tried out for The Ultimate Fighter 28.

Holm (12-4) impressed audiences last Saturday, showing off her improving ground game and dominating Australia’s 6-foot Megan Anderson for the unanimous decision win. Dandois (12-3) also owns an impressive victory over Anderson, in September 2015 she made easy work of the former Invicta FC featherweight champ, submitting her in the second-round by way of a choke.

Dandois was recently quizzed by a fan on Twitter on whether she’d accept a fight against Holm

For sure, I would be game right away. I belong in this 145 featherweight division and I hope I will get the chance to prove it!” she said.

The “Battlecat” also addressed fans who criticize her for her striking ability, arguing that it doesn’t matter if you’re still managing to win fights.

People seem to forget that it’s MMA, not kickboxing, not BJJ either. The whole game changes when you want to bang but end up on your back. Or when u want to roll but get elbowed in the face!” she said.

The 33-year-old recently tried out for The Ultimate Fighter 28, an upcoming season of the hit FOX reality show which seeks to build a women’s featherweight division. With her victories over the likes of Marloes Coenen, King Reina, Jorina Baars and Megan Anderson – Dandois should no doubt be one of the favorites to make it onto the show.

Fight fans, would you like to see the two women who beat Megan Anderson collide? Who do you think would win, Holm or Dandois? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I’d say without question, Holly; but she has surprised me so many times in the past, I’ll merely give her the edge. Personally, I think Megan would take Cindy in a rematch. Not sure how Cindy figures that her recent defeat of a fighter who has not won any of her last 8 fights, preceded by her victory over 5’4″ Hatice Ozyurt, who is now on a 6 fight losing streak, entitles her to get into the UFC again. Her questionable victory of 5’3″ King Reina is her only victory of note since defeating Megan back in 2015.

  2. Holly has a better chance at winning, but Cindy is definitely not someone to take lightly.
She knows her way around a fight. I’d love to see this match up. Decent enough stylistic match up.

  3. easy fight for Holm, even with Tate working Cindy’s corner. she simply lacks the speed, power, coordination and skills to do anything but be target practice for Holly. she will never get a takedown, she’d gas out trying 100 times. it’d be a way for Holm to stay at 145 and get another win there. in that sense I’m for it. I do not support any talk of Holm vs Nunes, there are 2 more deserving fighters at 135 on active win streaks. I say the UFC should book it. and also book Megan Anderson vs Leah Letson while they’re at it. do Nunes vs Cyborg and have Marion Reneau and Ketlen Vieira fight for #1 contender at 135.
