Saturday night at the Bare Knuckle FC 1 event, Bec Rawlings made history by earning the TKO victory over Alma Garcia in a 125-pound contest. The fight was the first ever legally sanctioned women’s bare knuckle boxing fight in history.

After putting a beatdown on Garcia for two rounds, the doctors stepped in and decided to not let Garcia continue into round three. Rawlings begins her professional bare knuckle boxing career at 1-0, whilst Garcia is 0-1. The second event is scheduled to take place in September.
“This sport’s made for me. I don’t know if you can see, but I love to box. And I think the bare-knuckle aspect just fits me.” Rawlings said after the big win.
The event marked the first legal, regulated, and sanctioned bare knuckle boxing event in the United States since the year 1889. Held under the control of the Wyoming Combative Sports Commission, headed by Chairman Bryan Pedersen, the 12 bout card featured only established professional fighters, who have competed in boxing, MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. The organization expects to hold a total of three events this year, with nine planned for 2019.
‘Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 1: The Beginning’ took place on Saturday June 2 from the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States. The event was aired live on pay-per-view from 9pm EST.
