Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Molly McCann among UFC London fight cancellations

The impact of the coronavirus outbreak continues.

UFC Fight Night 171 was originally scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena in London, however, U.S. travel restrictions due to COVID-19 will not permit the card to take place.

Joining the majority of scheduled UFC London fights, the sole women’s fight on the card, a flyweight bout between Molly McCann and Ashlee Evans-Smith, has officially been called off.

“Rebel Girl” and “Meatball” reacted on social media.

UFC president Dana White appeared on SportsCenter to discuss future events. He remains adamant that the show will go on.

White says the UFC is working on finding a new venue within the U.S. to host Fight Night 171– as well as putting together a new slate of fights for the card.

The status of the upcoming UFC Columbus and UFC 249 fight cards are TBD.

Stay tuned for more.
