Antonina Shevchenko to make UFC debut vs Ashlee Evans-Smith in November

An exciting flyweight matchup between Antonina Shevchenko and Ashlee Evans-Smith has been added to the TUF 28 Finale show in Las Vegas on Nov. 30.

Shevchenko (6-0), the older sister of fellow flyweight Valentina, earned a UFC contract with a dominant second-round TKO of Jamiee Nievera on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. “Pantera” returned to MMA in 2017, after taking a break from MMA to focus on Muay Thai.

Evans-Smith made a triumphant flyweight debut with a victory over Bec Rawlings at UFC 223. Prior to that, she competed as a bantamweight, securing victories over Veronica Macedo and Marion Reneau in the Octagon.

Who will you be rooting for?

  1. That’s great! Should be an interesting match-up and we should get keen insight as to Antonina potential at Flyweight. I think it’s tremendous. And with a Nov. 30, booking, that gives Valentina ample time to get on the card as well. They’ve made it well known that they want to fight on the same card.

  2. I like both of them, but I’ll have to root for La Pantera. The Shevchenko Sisters Act is one of the best continuing gigs going in MMA.
