Anna Maliukova was last seen in competition over a year ago when she lost to Gabi Garcia at the April 2016 RIZIN FF event. Following the loss she has remained relatively quiet, until now!
In a new post on social media, Maliukova boasted about how she was once given the fight against Garcia, a bout which all women in the division want. She also reveals she is ready to fight every single woman in her division.
“You want to fight with Gabi Garcia? I had this fight! I’m ready to fight with everyone of you!!!” Maliukova said.
Maliukova (1-1 Pro) is currently signed to RIZIN Fighting Federation as part of the heavyweight division. She made her professional MMA debut in September 2015, successfully taking out Tatiana Portova by way of unanimous decision. She followed up in April 2016 with a second-round armbar submission loss to Gabi Garcia. The 27-year-old from Russia currently trains at Gladiator Fight Team and has been working on her game ever since her loss. She feels as though she has improved dramatically as a fighter and is now looking for an opportunity to show it. To date, she is the only person to take Gabi Garcia out of the first round.
The 27-year-old was previously ranked within the top-four of the women’s heavyweight world rankings, however due to her 12-month+ layoff she is no longer eligible for the rankings. She’ll no doubt be looking to climb back in after she next competes.
