Amanda Nunes vs. Holly Holm bantamweight title clash set as UFC 239 co-headliner

It’s on! Amanda Nunes will return to action on July 6 in the co-main event of UFC 239 to face former champ Holly Holm for the bantamweight championship.

Nunes (17-4) became the first female double champ at UFC 232 when she knocked out Cris Cyborg to claim the featherweight championship. It was no doubt one of the biggest wins of her career that propelled her into the discussion of G.O.A.T.

Holm (12-4) will look to recapture the bantamweight gold she once held. She was last seen in action in June, defeating Megan Anderson in a featherweight bout. Holm was briefly slated to face Aspen Ladd at UFC 235, however, contract negotiations prevented the bout from taking place.

Who will you be rooting for?

  1. Rooting for Holly, but Amanda will probably take it. Better be more dominant than Valentina’s victory over Holly if she wants to be P4P Queen.
