The mixed martial arts world exploded following last Friday nights UFC 207 main event between former bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey and current UFC champion Amanda Nunes. It was Rousey’s eagerly anticipated return to the octagon following her devastating knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, but it definitely didn’t go as planned for the former bantamweight champ.
Nunes was able to wobble Rousey almost immediately with hard strikes and send her retreating to the fence where she finished the fight only 48 seconds into the first round. Following the fight people around the world posted their opinion on Ronda’s performance via social media, some of which were very supportive, while others were pretty cruel. Bellator welterweight star Michael “Venom” Page was one of the latter as he released a video mocking Rousey’s UFC 207 defeat that went viral immediately.
Rousey’s boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne immediately responded, making a tweet in which he threatened the Bellator star, he quickly deleted the tweet. Click HERE to view Browne’s deleted tweet.
It seems UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is siding with Bellator’s Michael Page. She posted a tweet in support of the video mocking Rousey. Check it out below.
