Amanda Nunes: “I don’t have anything against Cris Cyborg. This is business, after the fight we can have a beer”

UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is hoping to move up to 145-pounds for her next fight in a bid to challenge Cris Cyborg for the featherweight title.

Nunes wants Cris Cyborg.

Nunes (15-4-0) is obviously very confident she has what it takes to become the first woman to beat Cyborg in the UFC. However, she wants to make it clear she has nothing against her fellow Bazilian, it’s simply business for her.

Honestly, I think she wants this fight,” Nunes said. “And it’s the fight UFC wants. I want this fight to be good. I don’t have anything against her. At all. I think this is a business deal. After the fight we can have a beer, you know what I mean? It’s not personal.

I think it would be awesome,” Nunes said. ”I would be ready, in Brazil, in Vegas, or whatever. Whatever country, let’s 100 percent make this happen.”

  1. A chance to beat her? Obviously. A probability to beat her? I’m afraid not. But it could make for the most interesting competitive Cyborg fight to date. Hope all these excuses Cyborg is coming up with not to take the fight are to negotiate a better deal for the fight and not that she’s scared to face some legitimate competition again. Maybe getting rocked by Holm bothered her more than she let on.
