UFC bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes and strawweight contender Nina Ansaroff announce engagement

UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and UFC strawweight Nina Ansaroff have announced their engagement.

The longtime couple announced the news this past Saturday on social media along with several photos.

Nunes (16-4) became the first openly gay UFC champion when she defeated Miesha Tate at UFC 200 in July 2016. She’s since gone on to defend the belt on three occasions – against Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko and Raquel Pennington.

Ansaroff (9-5) is riding high on a three-fight winning streak in the strawweight division, with victories over Randa Markos, Angela Hill and Jocelyn-Jones Lybarger.

  1. Wow that’s great. Congratulations. On an unrelated topic I hope Nunes gets her face beaten in. (Ronda Rousey fan)
