Alyssa Garcia set to make UFC Fight Pass debut on February 16th at Combate Americas 11

Atomweight contender Alyssa Garcia returns to action on February 16th when she faces Kaiyana Rain at Combate Americas 11. The event will be aired live on UFC Fight Pass.

Popular atomweight contender, Alyssa Garcia makes her UFC Fight Pass debut in February.

Garcia (2-2-0) saw her popularity skyrocket following a big victory on December 30th over top ten ranked atomweight, Kanna Asakura. The win put Garcia at number ten in the Women’s MMA World Rankings at atomweight, whilst Asakura moves down to eleven.

She begun her Pro MMA career eager to fight the best in the world. She has a very close split decision loss to number eight ranked atomweight, the undefeated Julia Jones. She also has a loss to 115 pound strawweight Celine Haga in a fight which she was severely undersized. The December win over Kanna Asakura was huge for the young star and speaks volumes for the potential she possesses to become the best in the world.

Her opponent is Kaiyana Rain (1-2-0). Rain begun her career as a strawweight, losing to UFC stars Tecia Torres and Bec Rawlings. She decided to move down to the 105lb atomweight division and enjoyed success back in June 2015, with a majority decision victory over Kyra Batara. She’ll be looking to keep up the momentum from her last win and make a statement against a top ten ranked contender.

Alyssa Garcia fights Kaiyana Rain on February 16th at Combate Americas 11 live on UFC Fight Pass. The event takes place from the Burbank Convention Center in Burbank, California, United States.
