The 6’5ft kickboxing world champion Katya Kavaleva has issued a challenge, she tells us “I am the toughest female on this earth and dare any woman in MMA to step in with me.” Kavaleva added “I am 25 years old and ready to kick some serious a** and no one will stop me.”
Kavaleva has previously slammed Rizin FF’s decision to give the 52 year old retired pro-wrestler/MMA fighter Shinobu Kandori the fight against Gabi Garcia at their Year-End event. She now reveals “I’ll fight anyone anytime anyplace but Rizin lost their chance by making this horrible fight for Gabi.”
The kickboxing champ also revealed that the UFC and Bellator have expressed interest in having her face Garcia at one of their events, however plans fell through after both promotions had concerns over the “follow-up”, she continued “What if this is the best fight in history who will they fight next?“.
Earlier this week fellow Heavyweight star Destanie Yarbrough told us she wants a Heavyweight title belt to be made available for the stars at Heavyweight. Kavaleva agrees “my team would love nothing more then to have a division like ours. Even an open weight above let’s say 170lbs would be awesome. Even for a champ like Cris Cyborg who has to cut so much damn weight, it almost killed her.” She added “Bottom line is whether it’s Dana White or Scott Coker. one day this will happen.”
