  1. Great recap, Nick. Thanks. My fight of the quarter was Weili’s demolition of Amanda. My biggest disappointment for the quarter was the lackluster performance between Valentina and Liz. Find it hard to believe that despite both champions wanting 2 more fights this year, it looks like neither will even be getting one. I actually wish Valentina would take up Weili’s offer to fight her. I think that would be the most exciting match-up that could be made at 125: Weili’s aggression vs. Valentina’s counters.

  2. Valentina vs Weili would be a great fight for sure. But I dont see why Weili should move up. The strawweight division is the most competitive of all and there are plenty of girls there that deserve a title shot. Plus Weili is now the “it girl” of MMA in China. She’s giving the sport a huge boost in that part of the world. Valentina is incredibly good. It would be a very high risk fight for Weili to take. And if she loses much of that “it girl” status will be gone. Besides, she can fight Joanna, Rose, Suarez, hottie, Andrade II, Gadelha, cookie monster, etc at 115.
